Section of Celtic Fans Could Trigger More Action From UEFA After Latest Banner Stunt

'These people are not Celtic supporters and we will weed them out'

Celtic's board members have condemned and vowed to ban the section of their club's support who could trigger action from Uefa for the second time in the space of a week.

Celtic were fined €15,000 (£12,600) on Monday after their supporters were found guilty of illicit chanting in a Europa League match against Rennes in Glasgow. On Thursday evening, Celtic's creditable 1-1 draw at Udinese was marred by a banner in the visiting section which read "Fuck Uefa" and flares being thrown from the same area. Both incidents are almost certain to be included in the report of Uefa's match delegate.
