Dutch samba their way to victory over Brazil in World Cup

Holland have defeated Brazil in the first FIFA World cup qaurter final in South Africa.

After and early goal for Brazil, Robinho and co. looked it control but the Dutch style of 'Total Football' won the day as they scored twice in the second half to clinch the win.

An own goal by Filipe Melo via a free kick, pulled the dutch back into the match in 53 minutes before Wesley Sneijder scored the all important winner with a header on the 68th minute.

5 minutes later the writing was on the wall as Filipe Melo was red carded for the Brazilians and that more or less ended any chance the Samba stars had of pulling the match back. Not exactly Melos finest moment!

The Dutch now move into the semis and await the winners of Uruguay Ghana in tonights match.

The Brazilians will go home and know their next world cup match will be on home soil in 4 years time but this match belongs to the small European country of the Netherlands as they continue in their quest to win their first ever World Cup title.

The futures bright, the futures oranje!
