Region3Soccer: Fort Lauderdale Strikers partner with Boy Scouts

Fort Lauderdale, FL (June 23, 2014) - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers are teaming up with Boy Scouts of America and will host "Scouts Night" in conjunction with the Strikers' July 26 match against their storied rival, the New York Cosmos. 



The Strikers and Boy Scouts have also launched a fundraising initiative, with Boy Scouts of America receiving a portion of the proceeds for each ticket sold by the scouts."

Region3Soccer: US Youth Soccer Southern Championships enter quarter finals

BATON ROUGE, La. (June 22, 2014) — Sunday brought an end to exciting preliminary games at the 2014 US Youth Soccer Region III (South) Championships, at the BREC Burbank-Soccer Complex in Baton Rouge, La. 



The chase for the Regional and National Championship continues for the 96 teams who have qualified to move on from their preliminary groups. Georgia has the most teams advancing out of pool play with 19, while Florida is close behind with 17. The host Louisiana Soccer Association has seven teams advancing.

Region3Soccer: Laredo Heat bring Soccer Golf for 1st Annual tournament, July 2nd

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo’s newest sports venue will host the city’s oldest sports franchise for a unique opportunity to fuse the region’s most passion-inspiring activities. The Laredo Heat announced their hosting of the 1st Annual Soccer Golf Tournament hosted by Bud Light and Laredo Heat SC at the Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course on July 2.
The tournament will see all its proceeds benefit the Laredo Heat Soccer Club and Academy, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of the club is to get youth to learn to play soccer, get advanced players into competitive tournaments and teach the next generations the rules of the game and the importance of proper training, exercise and doing well in school.
